車諾比核災28周年，烏克蘭民眾在首都基輔悼念當年罹難者。

史上最嚴重的核電廠事故，烏克蘭車諾比核災紀念日轉眼又到，聯合國秘書長潘基文透過發言人發表聲明說，「我們藉此機會想想那次緊急事故裡的救災人員，和從污染區疏散的33萬人，支持白俄羅斯、俄羅斯聯邦、烏克蘭，至今仍然住在受影響地區的數百萬人。」

車諾比核電廠爆炸發生於1986年4月26日凌晨1時23分，聯合國在協助災區因應挑戰上扮演重要角色，聯合國車諾比行動計畫持續運作到2016年。這項計畫的主要內容包括復原措施，相關地區的社會與經濟發展，以及推廣健康的生活習慣與社區自助。
