南韓學生英文補過頭 總統籲改善

南韓時報報導，南韓總統朴槿惠13日要求南韓教育部採取根本措施，「矯正」南韓學生過度學習英文的教育環境，並減少學生家長在私人教育機構的開銷。朴槿惠說：「學生需要擁有基本英文能力，但不是每個學生都要精通英文，除非他們想從事需要專業英文能力的工作。」

此外，南韓教育部在年度政策報告中允諾，降低南韓現行大學入學學術性向測驗（ＣＳＡＴ）的難度。南韓教育部的決定是希望減少學生家長在英文補習班的花費，進而減輕家長的負擔。南韓教育部調查顯示，南韓家長2012年花19兆韓元（約台幣5407億元）讓孩子補習，其中補英文的費用達6.5兆韓元（約台幣1850億元）。
