大陸商務部部長助理王受文出席博鰲亞洲論壇時表示，跨太平洋夥伴關係(TPP)成員國目前佔全球GDP的40%、50%的貿易，因此中國密切關注TPP談判進展，同時對TPP非常感興趣並持開放的心態。
王受文指出，TPP談判確實沒有中國參加，RCEP(區域全面經濟夥伴關係協定)則是美國沒有參與。有觀點認為，TPP是反中國的，而RCEP是反美的。「從我個人看，這兩種想法都是沒有根據的。我們區域貿易協議一旦更有包容性、透明度的話，必然能夠滿足區域以及全球經濟發展的要求。」
