休士頓火箭終於在主場保住季後賽前景，以108：98力克波特蘭拓荒者，系列賽追成2：3，並且避免提前被淘汰出局。林書豪攻下21分、4助攻，15投9中，在第三、四節決勝期成為火箭救命功臣。

這是林書豪兩年季後賽生涯最出色的一場表現，效力尼克賽季他因傷缺陣，上季在火箭也受困傷病，沒有理想表現。

今年是林書豪第三個季後賽，也是他生涯第二次在季後賽出賽，並且在貝佛利 (Patrick Beverley)有傷情況下，把握每次上場機會，用積極進攻和傳球幫助火箭贏球，打出個人季後賽代表作。

林書豪在第四節主導節奏，幫助火箭保持領先優勢，他的關鍵三分球和突破成為拓荒者防線上的漏洞。

除了林書豪的關鍵表現，火箭籃板球以48：34領先拓荒者，禁區得分以60：40壓倒拓荒者，都是避免提前出局的關鍵。

林書豪為球隊贏球感到興奮，但對自己的表現還是表現從容，一如賽前他說的，「我感覺非常好，我們必須有緊迫感，打出最好的狀況和比賽。」林書豪做到了，也幫助火箭保住季後賽前途。
